Range Safety Rules

Know and Obey All Range Rules

  • All students and instructors should maintain as safe a training environment as is reasonable possible.
  • HORSEPLAY AND UNSAFE BEHAVIOR IS NOT TOLERATED, AND MAY LEAD TO REMOVAL FROM THE RANGE (NO REFUNDS ARE GIVEN IN THIS CASE).
  • KNOW AND OBEY THE GUN SAFETY RULES:
    1. All guns are always loaded.
    2. Never let the muzzle cover anything that you are not willing to destroy.
    3. Keep your finger off the trigger until your sights are on target.
    4. Be sure of your target and beyond.
  • Keep your muzzle pointed down range at all times while on the firing line.
  • Do not load guns or magazines until instructed to do so by an instructor.
  • Do not manipulate your gun when you are not on the firing line.
  • Never manipulate your gun, magazines or ammunition when anyone is down range.
  • In the case of a firearm or equipment malfunction that cannot be resolved, notify an instructor.
  • Alcohol and drug use is not tolerated before or during shooting.
  • Wear appropriate eye and hearing protection.
  • In the case of a CEASE FIRE command, shooting stops immediately. Guns are placed on safe and holstered or placed on stand.
  • Advise an instructor immediately of ANY injury that occurs during training.

** ANYONE MAY CALL A CEASE FIRE TO STOP AN UNSAFE SITUATION **
